An accountant for a webshop
This is one situation we often see, a webshop, not the only industry we work in. An accountant for a webshop does not book a Shopify, Bol or Amazon payout as revenue. Revenue is what the customer paid. Commission, shipping, fulfilment and the VAT reserve come out separately.

A payout is not revenue
Bol and Amazon transfer an amount that is already lower because of commission, shipping or a reserve. Booking that transfer as revenue understates profit and makes the VAT unreliable. The sale is revenue. The deduction is a cost or a receivable. A Bol reserve stays visible until the platform releases it.
By channel, not one pile
Shopify, Bol and Amazon each pay out differently, charge a different fee and often trigger VAT at a different moment. One ledger account called ‘webshop’ hides which channel costs money. DT Admin puts the channels side by side, after ads and payment fees.
- Shopify and your own checkout: revenue, Mollie or Stripe, and the transfer to the bank.
- Bol.com: the sale, commission, shipping and the reserve, separate from the deposit.
- Amazon: the settlement, including fulfilment and any advertising, split line by line.
What the base fee includes
The from-price is an indication per legal form, excluding VAT. There is no surcharge per channel and no fee per invoice. You pay for Moneybird yourself, or through us. The intake checks whether the engagement fits your shop.

Do you book Bol commission separately from the payout?
Yes. The sale is revenue. Commission, shipping and a Bol reserve are booked on their own, so the bank deposit is explained.
Do Shopify, Bol and Amazon have to sit in one package?
No. Shopify, Bol and Amazon sit in the same set of books. There is no separate fee per channel. The intake checks whether the volume fits the from-price.
